As 3D Character Artist intern, you will work with our Lead Character Artist to create various characters and enemies for the game. We are looking for someone who combines great artistic sense with a good technical approach, to achieve visual excellence along with the team. You will work on fantasy characters, in a realistic 3D style.
TASKS
- Model and texture 3D Characters in accordance with the artistic direction, together with the Character Artist and Lead Artist
- Support on Character-related props (weapons...) or environment props if needed
- Participate in the team brainstorms to create original characters - your ideas are welcome !
SKILLS
-You have a good understanding of character creation process for new-gen real time characters (including retopology).
- You are fluent in Zbrush, Photoshop, Blender and/or Maya.
- Knowing how to rig and animate characters is a plus. Knowing Marvelous Designer is a plus.
- You love playing games (if you like games like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest or Persona that's even better).
EXPERIENCE
Experience in previous video games projects is appreciated but not mandatory. A nice portfolio can make up for it.
PRACTICAL INFO
- 6 months paid internship, beginning Summer 2023.
- You need to be able to communicate in English, speaking French is a plus.
- You're willing to work in Montpellier, France. Sandfall offices are located near the city center, in a superb town house with garden, allowing to take advantage of the warm weather.

We are working on Project W, a 3D turn-based RPG with a fantasy & ‘Belle Époque’ art style. The game is running on Unreal Engine 5 and is recipient of an Epic MegaGrant.
